Devon County Council’s Public Health team are recruiting for a one-year fixed term Public Health Research Support Officer post, funded by the National Institute for Health Research.

This role will focus on developing public health research and evaluation in Devon, and strengthening links between local authorities, universities and health organisations.

The role will support work across the Devon Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) comprised of health and care organisations and local authorities in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay, and will also involve collaboration with local universities, PenARC (Peninsula Applied Research Collaboration) the South West Academic Health Science Network.

The role will be focused on the development of local research and evaluation capabilities in relation to linked data and population health management, using data to support the feasibility of public health studies and supporting the data collection of studies that come to the region.
