Salary: £25,411 to £33,150 pa Fixed Term Contract until April 2012

All posts in CLCH are subject to a 6 month probationary period, during which time you will be expected to demonstrate your suitability for the post.

We are looking for a Physical Activity Instructor with a qualification recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals at Level III to provide expertise to our Childhood Obesity Programme. The role will involve the delivery of multidisciplinary healthy lifestyle programmes to children and families. The work will support the PCT Obesity Strategy and have an obesity prevention element. The successful candidate will be working with a Specialist Dietician who will take leadership for the programme as well as receiving support from a Physical Activity Co-ordinator within a dedicated team of health promotion specialists.

The Health Improvement Team is a highly skilled, dynamic and forward-thinking health promotion team that encourages innovation and modernisation. The key principle of the team is to support frontline practitioners and community staff to promote health within targeted communities in order to improve well-being, prevent ill health and reduce health inequalities.
