Learning and Development, Physical Development Services

Linked grade, Band 3G (circa £23,264) rising to Band 3H (circa £24,647) per annum, for a fully competent candidate Progression based on performance

You will undertake all aspects of training within the Physical Development Services, as part of a planned programme, in accordance with current policy and procedures. Duties will include assessing and reporting, on the fitness and suitability of potential recruits, probationers and specialist units following testing standards and procedures.

When qualified, you will also deliver all aspects of the Officer Safety Training package, including Classroom delivery, practical skills and Dynamic Scenario Training. You will possess at least one recognised current fitness qualification and have recent and relevant experience of coaching or classroom based training. Experience of dealing with large groups of people is essential, together with good communication skills and IT literacy with proficient use of Microsoft Office packages.

You must be prepared to undergo further relevant training and development and to pass a job related fitness assessment. A full UK driving licence is required as you will be required to travel to different locations across the force and may work flexibly, unsocial hours.
