About The Role

You will provide health and wellbeing support to employees who work in Cornwall’s mainstream schools, academies, free schools and independent schools. You will co-ordinate a range of projects, training programmes and activities that will help to improve the health and wellbeing of school employees. This is, initially, a fixed term post for approximately 20 months and would be suitable for anyone wanting to develop their knowledge and skills in maintaining and improving employee health and wellbeing in the school environment.

We will undertake an enhanced criminal records bureau (CRB) check on the successful applicant.

This is a fixed term contract for 20 months and may represent a suitable secondment opportunity for existing Cornwall Council employees. If you wish to be considered for a secondment, please obtain your manager’s permission before applying.

This position will be subject to a basic/enhanced Criminal records disclosure check.

About You

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in one of these specialised areas - health education/public health/health and safety/leisure/sport science.

Solid communication skills and good IT skills are essential as is the ability to travel to schools across Cornwall.

The health and wellbeing initiatives will have been developed by the Health Safety and Wellbeing Team and Children Schools and Family Services within Cornwall Council in partnership with CIOS Health Promotion Service and Macmillan Cancer Support.
