Mytime Active provides maternal, childhood and adult weight management programmes as part of community healthcare services across the country.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Exercise Professional to join our London based multi-disciplinary team of Dietitian’s, Psychologists and Physical Activity Specialists, delivering community based specialist group weight management programmes to children and young people aged 0-18yrs old and their families.

Note: this role requires flexibility to ensure we meet the needs of the service and will therefore include evening and weekend work and travel between multiple venues.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated individual with a specialist interest in weight management who is able to provide a high standard of physical activity and structured exercise delivery, specialist advice and support. In collaboration with the multi disciplinary team, you will provide individual patient assessments, effective physical activity/structured exercise in a group setting, reviews of patient goals/progress and help set targets in conjunction with service users.

The multi disciplinary team will include specialist input from dietitians and psychologists to produce individual care plans for services users with an emphasis on behaviour change. You will have a key role in delivering innovative weight management services. You will also play a key role in evaluating and shaping the service for potential future development.

Previous experience working with children and young people is essential, ideally in a weight management service. Experience of working with post natal mothers is also preferred as it a competence in behavior change management. Knowledge of comorbidities/complex needs as well as a qualification of reps Level 3 is also required for delivery of this intervention.

You should be creative, flexible and pro-active with excellent planning, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.

This is a fixed term contract commencing ending March 2016 and is subject to satisfactory DBS (formally CRB) check.
