A timeline of key research
Physical Activity Groups have been shown to be beneficial in maintaining healthy activity levels in a wide range of populations. Physical Activity can also serve as a means by which people come together to form social bonds which in turn have been shown to be beneficial to health.
I'm working on a number of projects examining the development of small groups when promoting physical activity with specific clinical populations. As part of this work I've produced this timeline of relevant research in the study and development of small groups. I hope it's of use to others and if there are any other significant events, names or theories that should be added please let me know.
