An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Healthy Weight Team at Kent Community Health for a Health Improvement Nutrition Assistant based at Whitfield Court, Dover.

This is an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team who lead health improvement initiatives across East Kent such as the Fresh Start Weight Management Scheme, Health Walks, Exercise Referral, Family Lifestyle Programmes and a Specialist Weight Management Service alongside nutrition and physical activity teams. This role involves working closely with the Health Improvement Specialists along with the wider team and includes responsibility for education and group exercise programmes taking a lead in the delivery of the exercise and nutrition components of both universal and targeted family lifestyle programmes.

We are able to offer a wide range of experiences within a friendly and forward thinking team who are dedicated to providing a high quality service to the local community.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must; you will also need good presentation and organisational skills. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and willing to work in a challenging community environment.
