Funded by Sport England, Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire is part of a national family of County Sports Partnerships and working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support we are currently in a position to recruit a 2 year fixed term Macmillan ‘Move More’ Physical Activity Coordinator. (Full and part time hours will be considered)

This position will coordinate and deliver the ‘Move More’ programme, which will include the delivery of behaviour change interventions, supporting people living with and affected by cancer into physical activity opportunities and monitoring outcomes of the programme.

The post holder will have experience of supporting and developing opportunities for adults, particularly those who are inactive or have health conditions, to participate in sport and physical activity.

The primary purpose of the role is to work with stakeholders locally to promote and support the delivery of the Worcestershire 'Move More' programme. The post holder will play a vital role in the monitoring and evaluation of delivery programmes across Worcestershire, gathering insight and examples of best practice.

This position will coordinate and deliver the 'Move More' programme, which will include the delivery of behaviour change interventions, supporting people living with and affected by cancer into physical activity opportunities and monitoring outcomes of the programme.

You will liaise with the Project Manager (Marketing, Communication and Insight) to promote programme and develop marketing materials for the project.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a physical activity setting, preferably within the context of adult participation and health. You will have an awareness of county sports partnerships and their role in developing sport, alongside knowledge of key interventions and initiatives related to adult participation and awareness of current challenges faced trying to engage people living with and affected by cancer in sport and physical activity.

Strong relationship management skills, well-developed communication skills and excellent organisational abilities will be essential to the success of the role.

An ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities would also be essential as would a willingness to work unsociable hours. A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously is critical to this role.
