We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and outcomes driven individual to co-ordinate and expand our Get Active exercise referral programme and to contribute towards the development of an inclusive range of physical activity programmes as part of our Healthy Weight and Physical Activity Strategy. This post will focus on increasing participation and access to physical activity opportunities, with particular focus on those at higher risk of poor health and sedentary lifestyles.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and self motivated professional with a broad range of highly developed skills in planning, communication and administration to ensure effective and efficient co-ordination of all operational aspects of programme management and systems.

The successful applicant will have proven knowledge and expertise in the areas of developing and managing high profile projects such as exercise referral schemes and developing effective physical activity programmes. Excellent communication and partnership skills are a must for this position as a key part of the job is to influence and work collaboratively with a wide network of partners, stakeholders and health professionals to establish more effective relationships and ensure delivery on key objectives and performance management indicators. The programme is underpinned by a monitoring and evaluation system and therefore strong analytical and IT skills are essential in order to produce regular statistical evidence on performance and evaluation reports to partners and strategic groups.

It is desirable that applicants hold a current and recognised Exercise Referral Qualification such as Wrights Foundation.

An enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required for this post.

If you would like a informal discussion about this post please contact Shirley Piotrowski, Physical Activity Lead on 020 8547 6817

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
