We are seeking an enthusiastic, resourceful and self-motivated candidate, with relevant qualifications and experience to take on this demanding role. You will have a proven track record of delivering successful community projects and the ability to inspire, motivate, encourage, coach and communicate with adults, children and young people. You will have proven skills in organisation and leadership, in addition to excellent communication skills and the ability to empower individuals and communities to become more physically active and take part in sport and leisure opportunities in York.

The main purpose of the role is to encourage and support York residents to improve their health by signposting them to appropriate exercise pathway programmes. The successful candidate is expected to hold a recognised qualification to enable them to write, plan and deliver exercise pathway sessions to groups with differentiated medical needs and for a range of ages.

The post requires flexible working (regular evening and weekend work), subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and the ability to independently travel across the city delivering activities to the general public.
