As part of the Combined Universities in Cornwall initiative University College Falmouth and the University of Exeter share a multi-million pound campus at Tremough near Falmouth. Supporting this campus is a company called Tremough Campus Services (TCS).
TCS provides a wide range of services to support the students, staff and visitors to the Tremough university campus. These include the sports centre, estates and facilities, accommodation and residences, catering, bar, retail, and conference and events activities. We are currently recruiting for a Sports Manager.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to manage the campus sports facilities, open to students, staff and the wider community. As well as gym and exercise classes and a multi-use games area we are part of a community sports partnership with Penryn College and have recently been awarded a grant from Sport England under the Active Universities scheme to develop our activities. We are looking for a sports professional to lead on the provision of a high quality sports service to our customers all year round.
You should be qualified to A Level/HNC/NVQ3 or equivalent and be a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals Level 2 or equivalent. Relevant supervisory experience in the fitness and leisure industry is an advantage.
The successful candidate will manage a motivated team responsible for ensuring safe and efficient daily operation of the facilities, meeting accredited standards, and ensure that our customers are advised or supported during their activities. You should have proven experience in handling a diverse range of situations in a customer focused environment.
