Salary: £22,958 - £27,052 p.a. plus benefits

Working in partnership with key agencies across the District, you will contribute to the strategic planning and implementation of sport/leisure and health and wellbeing priorities for the Council.

You will oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of key programmes of activity or events aimed at reducing health inequalities and increasing participation in physical activity.

You will support the creation of sustainable sports development and healthy lifestyle programmes and manage and monitor relevant budgets.

In addition you will provide advice and support on sports related matters to sports clubs, leisure centres and the public and promote and raise the profile of local sporting opportunities.

With a degree, or equivalent qualification, preferably in a related subject area, you will have excellent communication, organisational and programme/project management skills.

You should also have a sound understanding of the sports development and healthy lifestyles agendas.

Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
