An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health and Fitness Supervisor to join our new Evolve gym opening at our Southend campus. The gym will be used predominantly by students and staff but will also be open to the public, with 58 stations and a studio space which will run lunch time and evening classes. The postholder will oversee the safe running of Evolve including the supervision of the Evolve staff team, ensuring that all procedures are adhered to and that a high standard of personal training is provided.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant qualification in sport/ recreation/ physical exercise or fitness and health as well as qualifications in fitness (level 2) and personal training. You will also be are aware of health and safety legislation and procedures in relation to sport exercise and fitness and have previous supervisory experience within a sports centre environment. The ability to work a flexible shift pattern including evenings and weekends is also essential to this post.
