Job Description

Run England is the recreational running programme designed to get the whole country healthy and active, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, shape, exercise background or geographic location.

From beginners to jog leaders to club membership, Run England offers and inexpensive, accessible, social away of getting fitter.

We are currently recruiting an Area Coordinator to work in the South Region to support the Run England programme of work which has received external funding from Sport England.

You will need to work closely with local running team leaders, clubs and coaches to ensure that their development needs are fully supported. The successful candidate will be a target driven individual with demonstrable experience increasing participation within recreational sport, including those who are inactive.

Drive, passion, resilience and a strong desire to get people involved in athletics and recreational running are all essential requirements for this role.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable knowledge of the sport, experience of planning projects and coordinating partners and hold a good degree level qualification such as Sports Development along with evidence of Continuous Professional Development.

You will also need to have gained experience of managing and motivating a team of staff with an ability to manage staff in remote locations.

You must have in-depth knowledge of the regional area relevant to the role and along with an understanding of demographic profile.

You must hold a clean driving licence and be located within the region since you will need to travel extensively within the area.
