HEE supports the delivery of high quality care for patients and high quality public health services by ensuring that the health workforce has the right skills, behaviours and training, and that health care staff are available in the right numbers to meet the needs of the public. It takes on leadership and oversight of healthcare workforce planning and will also be responsible for supporting and authorising Local Education and Training boards. HEE will maintain an effective system for professional education and training as part of a comprehensive health service.

An exciting career opportunity has arisen in the South West for a full time Education Programme Officer, focussing on Supporting our General Practice specialty Training programme, including assessment, recruitment, and training events.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who can demonstrate the key values of the NHS Constitution to provide a full and comprehensive front line administrative service within the team.
This is an interesting and varied role where you will work in a challenging, busy and rewarding environment, as part of a friendly and supportive team. You will be building relationships and networks with a wide range of people including NHS hospital Trusts, GP practices, junior doctors, and the Royal Medical Colleges.

And Experience
You should be well-organised with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload and work with limited supervision.
The postholder will also be a team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to the team’s broader running, outputs, and progression.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver a high standard of work to tight deadlines.
Strong Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills are also required.

Location
This post will be based in one of our South West offices located in Plymouth (Plumer House) or at Bristol (Park House), however remote working will be the default position during the current COVID 19 Pandemic. This will be continually reviewed in line with HEE policy. We offer a pleasant, modern working environment with good public transport links and free on-site parking

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 5 with a full-time starting salary of £24,907, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 4 years’ service.
These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
