This is an opportunity to lead and manage the RYA Sports Science and Medicine Team, supporting the RYA’s world-leading World Class Performance programme and delivering an integrated service across all sports science and medicine disciplines.

The successful candidate will hold a sports science degree or equivalent, will be BASES accredited for physiological support and will have previous experience of working as a physiologist with elite athletes on a World Class Performance programme. In addition you will have excellent interpersonal skills at all levels and demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate people, work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload under pressure. Knowledge of the RYA’s racing activities would be an advantage.

Reporting to the Olympic Manager, the post holder will be based at the RYA’s Performance Unit in Portland. The job is full time, 35 hours per week, and will involve weekend work and travel abroad for events.
