An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an innovative new programme. b-you is a one year health referral pilot working in partnership with GP practices from across Derby, to address health inequalities through a unique personalised offer of motivational interviewing, physical activity, nutrition and behaviour change.
As a b-you Advisor you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the b-you programme by supporting patients referred to the programme to make positive and sustained lifestyle choices. With experience of supporting individuals on a one to one basis to make positive lifestyle changes you will be able to deliver effective nutritional support and develop personal training plans for sedentary individuals and groups. You will also be able to deliver appropriate physical activity and exercise programmes.
You will hold a recognised health and fitness qualification, Level 3 advance gym instructor, Level 2 group work, First aid and Level ? Motivational Interviewing qualifications. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work with clients in a positive and friendly manner to encourage them to overcome barriers to being active.
