Full and part time roles. Salary range £23,000-£25,000

Location: Everyone Health, The Maple Centre 6 Oak Drive Huntingdon Cambridgeshire

An exciting opportunity is available for experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Physical Activity Specialist with a passion and specialist interest in weight management. These roles will contribute to the development, provision and coordination of a Lifestyle Service delivered across Cambridgeshire. This community-based, multi component service brings together a range of different programmes under one Countywide Lifestyle Service, centred on supporting residents to lead healthier lives. This service offers a personalised care package for adults and children, including families, with a focus on those overweight or obese, providing psychological support, increasing physical activity and advice on maintaining a balanced and healthy diet.

Playing a pivotal role within this multi-component service, you will be responsible for providing high quality, physical activity advice and support, including individualised exercise prescription, working within a multi-disciplinary specialist weight management team. Providing expert physical activity advice, underpinned by a sound knowledge of theoretical principles of behaviour change, you will support children, young people and adults, across Cambridgeshire, to make informed decisions in relation to their weight, contributing towards a healthier lifestyle.

We would like to hear from you if you are experienced in:

Providing high quality physical activity and exercise services within a community-based, weight management service.

Experienced in delivering one to one and group interventions, for adults and / or children who are overweight or obese, with potential co-morbidities / complex needs.

Minimum of two years’ experience of providing exercise interventions across a range of weight management service tiers, and health and community settings.

Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
