Public Health Wales is entering an exciting phase as it focuses more closely on influencing the settings that affect people’s lives to improve population health and tackle health inequalities.

In adopting a stronger emphasis on implementing a multi-agency systems approach, we are expanding our team to develop a culture of collaboration and specialist resource.

Consequently we are seeking to recruit three Senior Health Promotion Practitioners. Each role will support several aspects of the health improvement work at a national level and will require a degree of flexibility to cover the breadth of work that the relevant team is involved in delivering.

There is one post available in each of the Division's three teams.

Team 1: Healthy and Well Communities; Mental Wellbeing; Health and Work

Team 2: Healthy NHS; Tobacco Control; Substance Misuse

Team 3: Early Years; Educational Settings; Nutrition and Obesity; Physical Activity

Please indicate any preferences clearly on your application form. Otherwise it will be assumed that you are applying to work in any one of the three teams.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.

For any queries or a discussion about the role, please contact either Norma Prosser or Marie Grannell.
