Nottingham Trent University has a strong research reputation and is rated amongst the top universities for its research in subjects allied to health and general engineering.  Building on these successes, funding has been secured to support a 12 month Research Assistant post in the area of exercise physiology.  The Sport Science team have funding in place from the Ministry of Defence to examine the responses of military recruits to climatic conditions during infantry training.

To this end we welcome applications from well qualified individuals who have research experience in areas related to exercise physiology.  Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be able to take responsibility for the work and demonstrate that they can meet deadlines.  Work will be undertaken in partnership with Headquarters Army Recruiting and Training Division and, as such, the position will require the post-holder to travel between their primary place of work at Nottingham Trent University (Clifton Campus) and the Infantry Training Centre at Catterick.  As such, access to personal transport or at least a full clean driver’s licence would be beneficial.
