Mytime Active, Health Division

Mytime Health is responsible for the delivery of an exciting Health Trainer programme designed to help residents of Portsmouth and Hampshire, adopt a healthier lifestyle to ultimately reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

This service provides behaviour change support, motivation and information around four main areas of lifestyle, including healthy eating, physical activity, alcohol and smoking.

Health Trainer (Rushmoor, Hampshire)

£15,500 per annum, pro rata, 30 hours per week, flexible working/part time/job share may be available

The role will include 1:1 and group delivery as a Health Trainer and in weight management in GP surgeries and community venues.

Full training will be available if the successful candidate is not already qualified. With the support of a Community Development Worker, you will be actively involved in engaging individuals on a regular basis, delivering group work and liaising with community health service providers. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your interpersonal skills and gain valuable experience in a varied health promotion role.

No specific qualifications are required but you should have an understanding of local community issues, a flexible work approach, an interest in health and excellent communication skills.

This is a fixed term contract until 30th September 2015 and is subject to satisfactory enhanced CRB disclosure and references.
