A position is available for an enhanced recovery exercise specialist working in a busy acute trust. You will work as part of the Surgical and Critical Care service providing rehabilitation and exercise classes as part of the Physiotherapy Team to patients undergoing major abdominal surgery and / or admission to Critical Care.

Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust (BNHFT) provides acute hospital services to a population of around 300,000 patients in Basingstoke, Tadley, Alton and Bordon as well as surrounding towns and villages in north and mid Hampshire and West Berkshire. Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital has around 450 beds, from which it provides a full range of services for patients who need both planned and emergency treatment. This includes the Diagnosis and Treatment Centre (DTC) our purpose built, modern planned care centre, which opened in February 2005.
This role will include assessment and treatment of patients rehabilitation needs and providing appropriate exercise plans to promote independence and mobility. You will also undertake exercise sessions with individuals and groups of patients independently.

A background in fitness such as gym / fitness instructor or personal trainer is essential alongside experience of working with people and a caring outlook.
